Master Class: Guided Meditation with Alexandra Pullen @healthy_ballerina

Updated: May 19, 2020

Alexandra Pullen grew up outside of Chicago, IL and trained at Ruth Page and the Joffrey School. Alex completed her pre-professional training on scholarship at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre. Alex was quickly promoted to studio company, apprentice, and corps de ballet at American Ballet Theatre. With ABT, Pullen's rep included Don Quixote, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Ashton's The Dream, Manon, Cinderella, Gaite Parisienne, Les Sylphide, La Bayadere, and Twyla Tharp's Bach PartitaI. She then joined Colorado Ballet for two seasons before moving to California to earn her BA in dance through the LEAP program at St. Mary's College of California. In addition, Alex is a certified yoga instructor through the yoga alliance and is currently signed with BLOC LA where she freelances in Los Angeles.

I am so happy to introduce you all to Alex! She is such an uplifting and positive spirit, her bubbly energy is infectious. Our paths first crossed in Los Angeles through friends of friends while I was dancing at Los Angeles Ballet. Now that I am on the opposite coast in Miami, I keep up with her on her Instagram where she is famously known as @healthy_ballerina. I love her passion for promoting health and wellness for body and mind. A topic that is so important for everyone but especially dancers. Most attention is given to the well being of the body but not enough help is offered for the mental aspect which in my opinion is just as important, if not more. Mental health has more effects on the body than you may be aware of.

I thought we would all benefit, especially in times like now, to follow Alex in a guided meditation. Please enjoy her video below and feel free to reach out to her for privates. She is available for ballet classes, yoga classes, meditations and breath work.

Alex's mantra: "Balance through all things!"

Enjoy!
