How to Wear All Black in the Studio and Not Fall Flat

We love an all black look in the studio but sometimes it can look like one note. Try our styling tips for mixing textures and adding dimension to an all black look, just in time for spooky season!

Let's break down the outfit!

Focal point: Leotard

Try our Tiara Leotard which features a beautiful velvet bust to add a regal sheen.

Layering: Meshies

Meshie Boleros: Add shape to your decolletage and are slimming on the arms.

Meshie Tights: Where leggings give you a flat look, meshie tights add sheer dimension and depth accentuating muscle definition.

Meshie Skirt: The cherry on top! This slimming high waist design has a flattering cut that makes the legs look long.

We hope you love this look and it gives you inspiration and confidence in the studio!

Best,

Julia @ Jule

Actual topic! I absolutely loved the post about wearing all‑black in the studio — it’s such a classic look, but accents make it pop. I recently paired my black leotard and leggings with a colorful chiffon scarf from Utsav Fashion around my waist, and it instantly lifted the whole outfit. Plus, I kept my hair in a neat high bun and added a shiny bangle to draw attention to arm lines. Once during a rehearsal, a bright sash made the difference between my movement looking “lost” or spotlighted. Little touches like that really let your passion shine!
